BRILLANTE MENDOZA FILM WORKSHOP 3



The Brillante Mendoza Film Workshop 3 (BMFW) will be 7 days intensive training from March 28 to April 3, 2016, at Center Stage Productions 947 Busilak St. Barangka Drive, Mandaluyong City.

Brillante Mendoza is a famous Filipino film director, raised in San Fernando, Pampanga, and he took up Advertising Arts of the then College of Architecture and Fine Arts at the University of Sto. Tomas.

He has directed sixteen films since 2005. He won the award for Best Director for his film "Kinatay" at the  62nd Cannes Film Festival. His 2009 film "Lola" won the award for Best Film at the 6th Dubai International Film Festival. His 2012 film "Captive" was shown in competition at the 62nd Berlin International Film Festival  in February 2012.

His 2012 film "Thy Womb" competed for the Golden Lion at the 69th Venice International Film Festival. His upcoming film "Taklub" has been selected to be screened in the Un Certain Regard section at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival.

PRESS RELEASE : Indak 24/7 wins back-to-back title at Healthway Medical’s Dance for Health 3

Healthway Medical—the most trusted and preferred mall-based clinics in the Philippines—recently capped off its third annual Dance for Health competition at the Alabang Town Center. For the second time in row, Indak [24]7 Dance Force won the yearly competition.

*Opening the Dance for Health 3 competition with VP of Sales and Marketing, Carmie De Leon, and ATC clinic manager, Dr. Vina Daguio, together with the marketing team.


Indak [24]7 Dance Force—the official dance troupe of [24]7 Customer Philippines, Inc.—claimed their second championship title after besting seven other teams. The group took home PhP 75,000.00 and premium merchandise from Salem Beds.



Dance for Health is the annual dance battle launched by Healthway Medical to encourage corporations to join its advocacy in promoting a healthy lifestyle among Filipino employees.

According to Carmie De Leon, vice president for sales and marketing of Healthway Medical, employers need to put a premium on their employees’ health for them to become more productive at work and at home.



“Being healthy brings a lot of advantages not only to individuals but also to the whole workforce,” De Leon said. “That’s why when we launched the Dance for Health, we had corporations in mind—we want employers to put value on the health benefits of exercising and how this activity can improve their employees’ productivity.” De Leon said that the Dance For Health competition was first launched to celebrate the company’s anniversary. Now, “we decided to make it a full-blown advocacy for Healthway to easily reach out to corporations and encourage them to move to a healthier lifestyle.”

Eight different teams from some of the country’s biggest corporations danced their way to win this year’s Dance for Health championship crown. The judges were Elijah Africa, a freelance yoga instructor in major hotels such as DusitThani Manila and Makati Shangri-La Hotel; Jill Ngo, one of the country’s top belly dancers; and Mark Angeles, a licensed Zumba fitness instructor in the Philippines.

Power Dance Company of Powered IOX Events and Entertainment Production bagged third place and received PhP25,000. Meanwhile, the IOX Dance Crew of Powered IOX Marketing Services won second place and received PhP40,000 and special Healthway merchandise.

“Pinaghandaan talaga naming ito. Nagsacrifice talaga kami para makuha yung title. Nagpay-off naman siya. Kaya I’m very happy with Healthway kasi dinaos nila ulit ito. Mas naging fierce lang yung competition kaya tinaasan din naming yung level of confidence at effort namin kasi alam namin na competitive din yung ibang teams na sumali,” Cleofe said.

He continued, “Kaya salamat talaga sa Healthway sa pag-initiate ng ganitong event. Sana ipagpatuloy niyo pa ito para mas marami kayong mapasaya at matulungan. Ang ganda kasi eh, it’s for a good cause: to promote healthy living talaga lalo na sa mga tulad naming magdamag nasa office. The stylish and frolicsome appeal of iRover maybe mistaken as a toy. It is apparent to many that your futuristic iRover/hoverboard is fun to play with, but it is far from being a toy.

As per DTI’s consumer’s safety requirement, it should be clear to hoverboard enthusiasts that the gadget is intended for age 14 and above. We need to realize that we should exercise proper care when using anything that has 2-wheels. Protective gear such as helmet and wrist guards, elbow and knee pads should be worn whenever onboard a hoverboard.

Battery Recharging is 6 hours and should be done with extreme caution. Presence of an adult should be sternly considered while youthful exuberance are being displayed by the youngsters. It is also advisable that iRover should ideally be for indoor use only.

What is Night to Shine - Tim Tebow Foundation

CCF to Host Night to Shine Prom for People with Special Needs

Pasig, Philippines – Christ’s Commission Fellowship (CCF) announced that they will serve as one of the more than 100 churches around the world that will host Night to Shine sponsored by the Tim Tebow Foundation simultaneously on Saturday, February 13, 2016. Night to Shine is an unforgettable prom night experience, centered on God’s love, for people with special needs, ages 14 and older. This worldwide movement is already set to take place next year in 41 states across the nation and 7 countries around the world…and the numbers continue to grow!
Every guest of Night to Shine will enter their prom on a red carpet complete with welcoming friendly paparazzi. Once inside,  guests will receive VIP treatment including hair and makeup stations, corsages and boutonnieres, a DJ plus live music and of course, dancing!  The highlight of the night will come when every one of the Night to Shine guests is crowned as a king or queen of the prom.

“We are honored to be able to work with so many churches across the county and around the world to impact the lives of people with special needs,” said Erik Dellenback, executive director of the Tim Tebow Foundation. “After such an amazing response to the inaugural event held in 44 locations earlier this year, our prayer is that this event will one day change the face of Valentine’s Day weekend from simply a celebration of love, to a celebration of God’s love for people with special needs.”


 As sponsor of Night to Shine, the Tim Tebow Foundation will provide each host church with a detailed instruction manual, a Prom Kit complete with decorations and gifts for the guests, financial support and individualized staff guidance.

During Night to Shine 2015, 44 hosts churches and 15,000 volunteers worked together to honor the more than 7,000 kings and queens of the prom. This year, the host churches are expected to see more than 20,000 people with special needs at prom all at one time around the world.
